Registered Nurse - Cardiac cath lab / DSA

We are looking for a full time equivalent; motivated nurse to work in our angiography unit. Experience in cardiac nursing is advantageous; a minimum of 12 months post graduate experience in an acute setting is essential.

Our unit is expanding into new procedures both coronary and vascular.  We provide second operator support to our consultants and excellent quality of care.  We participate in audit, both locally and nationally and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care at all times.

You will:

Be able to scrub/ assist in a number of cardiac and vascular procedures
Be able to work as an effective and flexible member of the multidisciplinary team

Staff Nurse Rotational Posts

(Hours: Full Time) Fixed Term Contract for 18 months 

St Anthony’s Hospital has planned a number posts to provide an opportunity for gaining experience and developing knowledge and skills to work across a variety of settings. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary health care team you will work with patients to help them achieve their full potential. You will be a recently qualified and Registered 1st Level (Adult) Nurse with good inter-personal, communication and clinical skills. You will be committed to developing your knowledge and skills in a range of settings, be flexible to the demands of the role in each setting, and have the ability to use your own initiative. 

The rotation includes shift work and internal rotation between days and nights. St Anthony’s Hospital will provide you with an excellent development programme, which includes a 6-month preceptorship programme and study days targeted to meet your personal and professional development needs. 

The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient service for patients. Areas of clinical experience will include Medical/Surgical conditions, Cardiothoracics, ITU/HDU Theatre/Recovery and OPD. There are four wards providing 24-hour care for adults.

Senior Orthopaedic Nurse / ODP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Orthopaedic Nurse / ODP to join our friendly, dynamic scrub team in Theatre at St. Anthony's Hospital.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours) day position – hours flexible according to the needs of the department and the individual.

A minimum of 4 years experience within a peri-operative care environment is essential, with the applicant having particularly experience within major orthopaedic surgery.

The successful applicants will form part of the on-call team and participate within the scheduled Saturday operating sessions.

Senior Radiographer

The Imaging Department at St Anthony’s Hospital offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging to include CT, MRI, Cardiac Catheterisation, Interventional Radiology and Mammography.  The radiographers work across a range of modalities according to experience and are involved in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to include PTCA, Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, CT Colography and other complex interventional examinations.

Cardiac Physiology Manager

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

St Anthony’s is a leading private provider of cardiac services in South London and the South East.  It has 93 beds, providing acute medical services including cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterisation, there is a modern 8-bed intensive care unit, very high quality care is given to patients and the Hospital is IIP accredited.  The busy Cardiology Department provides a diagnostic service to the Hospital, has links with the NHS, other independent hospitals and local GPs.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, currently working at an advanced specialist level primarily in the field of electrophysiology. The post holder will be a self-motivated clinical expert, who is organised, flexible, reliable and able to inspire and advise their colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the Electrophysiology service in addition to leading the Cardiac Physiology team.  We are committed to continuous professional development, and you will be encouraged to attend relevant professional courses in your field.The department runs an on-call service.  The ideal candidate will have: 

1: BSc. Clinical Physiology, HNC MPPM, or equivalent
2: RCCP registered
3: Post graduate qualification in CRM (i.e. NASPE/IBHRE/ HRUK exam and/or EP IBHRE/ NASPE)
4: Skilled in advanced complex device implant, trouble shooting, optimisation and programming.
5: Excellent knowledge of arrhythmias, the causes of arrhythmia’s, diagnostics and therapies.
6: Skilled in working in coronary diagnostic and interventional catheter labs.
7: Demonstrable ability to teach at clinical and technical level.

Salary will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.  The Hospital offers a Private Medical Plan after the completion of 6 months service.  There is also a generous pension scheme.
